As you’ve said to many of us, Paul: thank you.
Anna Karenina comes out on DVD this week, and while that’s great and you should all get it, it is going to be a very sorry substitute for the real thing.
Paul, we’ve been so fortunate to have you. We are grateful for your talents, your kindness, your gentle nature, and the generosity of your spirit. It is very hard to imagine the McKittrick without you. While this is not really goodbye, yours is an absence that will be acutely felt.
It was an honor and privilege to share in your final performance tonight. It was even more of a privilege to see the moving tribute your fellow cast gave to you in your final scene.
Thank you, Paul, for the beauty you’ve created, the memories, the laughter and the joy. I cannot wait to see what you create next.

I am… completely gutted that he won’t be there on my next trip. I will always remember the Porter.
