Sleep No More’s Valentine’s party last night: a chance to have a bit of fun inside the wacky noir warehouse where the most psychologically intense version of Macbeth occurs every night. My followship never knows what to make of it when I talk about this: I can only say that the experience brands you, and so the idea of running around the place outside the structure of the show itself was really attractive. Hecate requested we wear red, so Carrie dyed our masks red and I made little blingy “lips” to go on them (we were told people were asking the staff where they could get them, woops :P), and we were set.
It was mostly a dance party, though the witches and Hecate had a little roped off area where they were doing mini dances and groping the occasional attendee. You know, as you do.
